Introduction
The chemical composition of amber is C₁₀H₁₆Oₙ. It is not a mineral itself but is resin secreted by ancient coniferous trees, which has been petrified over tens of millions to hundreds of millions of years of geological action. It is also known as "beeswax."

In the Neolithic period, it was used by humans as an ornament. The Compendium of Materia Medica records that amber can "calm the five internal organs and stabilize the soul." Ancient people believed it could connect the yin and yang and calm the mind. In the Sutra of the Merit and Virtue of the Vows of the Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata, amber is often used to make prayer beads or protective ornaments, serving as an aid to focus and calm the mind during practice.
