Introduction
The main chemical component of black moonstone is potassium feldspar (KAlSi₃O₈). Due to its special intertwined black and white base color and moon-like luster, it flashes a soft blue-white halo under light, and is also known as "black obsidian moonstone."

In historical texts, Romans believed it brought love and romance; in traditional Indian medicine and astrology, it is considered a sacred gem associated with new moon energy, bringing emotional stability and inner wisdom; while in medieval Europe, it was thought to protect travelers, especially during nighttime voyages.
