Introduction

The main component of golden sunstone is silicate, with the chemical formula (Na,Ca)(Al,Si)₄O₈, belonging to the feldspar family. The common main mineral is plagioclase, and its basic chemical composition varies depending on the type of feldspar. The interior of the crystal contains fine inclusions of hematite, goethite, or other minerals, which produce golden, orange-golden, to red-golden shimmering spots under light, creating a special "aventurescence effect."

In ancient Greek culture, it was often endowed with symbols of light, vitality, and protection, and was linked with the imagery of the sun god; in Norse culture, it was also associated with the sun and navigation guidance; and in modern crystal culture, gold-spangled sunstone continues the symbolic meaning of the "sun," being endowed with the connotations of confidence, vitality, positivity, and hope.
