Introduction
The main component of goldstone is silicon dioxide, with the chemical formula SiO₂. By adding metal components such as copper and cooling them at a specific temperature in a low-oxygen environment, fine copper crystals are evenly distributed within the glass, creating a special visual effect that sparkles like stars and gold dust. It is also known as "aventurine glass" or "stellaria."

The history of goldstone is often linked to Italian Venice glassmaking, especially the famous Murano glass-making tradition. As early as the 17th century, Venice already had a shimmering glass craft called Aventurine Glass (Avventurina), in which fine metal crystals produce a starlight-like effect within dark glass.
