Introduction
The chemical composition of golden willow coral is mainly calcium carbonate (CaCO₃). It is a fossilized branch of a marine organism, formed by long-term soaking in seawater and mineralization. It is also known as "golden silk coral" or "sea willow."

Since the Ming and Qing dynasties, it has been used by literati and the imperial court as personal adornments, hand-held objects, and scholarly desk items. It is also recorded in "Compendium of Materia Medica" for its ability to calm the mind and promote health.
