Introduction
The chemical composition of red coral is calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), formed by the mineralization of coral polyps' skeletons over many years. It is also known as "precious coral," "vermilion coral," or "Mahalobadi coral."

Since ancient times, red coral has been regarded as a precious protective charm. The Compendium of Materia Medica records that it can "calm the soul and stabilize qi and energy." Ancient Indian Ayurvedic medical texts state that it can balance blood and emotions, listing it as one of the nine precious gems used to resolve conflicts and attract good fortune.
