Introduction
The chemical composition of magnesite is MgCO₃. It belongs to the carbonate mineral group and is also known as "white magnesia" or "popcorn stone."

In medical and natural philosophy texts, it is endowed with the symbolic qualities of "stability, calmness, and moderation." In the ancient Greek medical tradition, it symbolized the ability to balance excessive fiery nature and emotional fluctuations, corresponding to anxiety, insomnia, and bodily fluid imbalance. In medieval European and Arabic medical literature, it was regarded as a natural medium for "calming the nerves and stabilizing the mind," often linked to the symbolism of monastic life, moderation of desires, and inner order.
