Introduction
The chemical composition of hawk's eye is silicon dioxide (SiO₂), formed by the silicification of blue-green crocidolite (fibrous amphibole), and it is also called "blue tiger's eye" or "hawk's eye jade."
Ancient Egyptians regarded hawk's eye as a symbol of the "Eye of the Sky," used to pray for wisdom and protection. They believed it could bestow upon the wearer the keen observation of an eagle and the power to discern truth. In medieval Europe, knights also frequently wore it as a protective stone to ward off fear and confusion.
