Introduction
Lace agate's chemical composition is silicon dioxide (SiO₂), which is cryptocrystalline quartz. Its interior is interwoven with extremely fine quartz fibers, and it is also known as "banded agate."

Its documented use dates back to the Mesopotamian and ancient Egyptian periods. In ancient Greek culture, it was used for amulets and carved seals, believed to have the power to stabilize emotions and protect the wearer. Medieval European lapidary texts listed it as the "stone of harmony," used to balance emotions and prevent disputes.
