Introduction
The main component of celestite is strontium sulfate, with the chemical formula $\text{SrSO}_4$, and it belongs to the sulfate mineral class. Its name originates from the Latin word *caelestis*, meaning "sky" or "heaven," so named because its crystals often exhibit a soft sky blue, light blue, to blue-white color.

Beginning to gain recognition in the European mineralogical community in the 18th century, it was officially named "Celestine" in 1798 by the German geologist Abraham Gottlob Werner. Its dreamy sky-blue color also led to its eventual association with the sky, purity, and serenity in later cultures. In ancient civilizations, there is insufficient historical evidence to prove that celestite was extensively used as an amulet by the ancient Egyptian, Greek, or Roman civilizations. In modern crystal culture, it is often endowed with symbolic meanings of peace, harmony, clear thinking, and spiritual stability. Its soft and pure color, resembling the sky, also makes it a natural mineral with a highly healing atmosphere and ornamental value.
