Introduction
The main chemical composition of moonstone can be expressed as KAlSi₃O₈. It belongs to the feldspar family and is commonly a mineral structure formed by the alternation of orthoclase and albite. When light enters the layered structure inside the crystal, it produces a special "adularescence," displaying a blue-white, silver-white, or soft colored halo resembling moonlight floating on the crystal's surface, hence the name.

Since ancient times, it has been culturally connected to the moon due to its soft and mysterious luster. In ancient Indian culture, it is regarded as a sacred gemstone associated with the moon and love, symbolizing happiness, hope, and emotional connection. During ancient Greek and Roman times, its moon-like luster was linked to lunar deities, endowing it with symbols of femininity, the moon, and divine radiance. From the late 19th to the early 20th century, during the European Art Nouveau movement, it was favored by jewelry designers and extensively used in jewelry pieces featuring natural curves and dreamy styles.
